I have been using Excell for some time and get annoyed by the boring colour
schemems when doing charts and graphs, I have been changing manulally each time. Is there any cheap way of customising the colour schemes? |

ToolsoptionsColorModify In xl2k You can replace any color with the new one you like but you are limited to the 40 that are allowed in the pallet. I continued to search Web after posting and found much better result by using american spelling ie 'Color' & 'Customizing' Jason "Mike Rogers" wrote: Jason ToolsoptionsColorModify In xl2k You can replace any color with the new one you like but you are limited to the 40 that are allowed in the pallet. There are really 56 colors in the palette, though not all are always
displayed. You can use the last two rows through the Format <object dialog. All 56 are available when formatting charts and shapes. In the Tools menu Options Color tab, you will notice that the bottom two rows are labeled Chart Fills and Chart Lines. These are the automatic colors Excel uses when formatting a chart, where the first series is formatted with the first color in the row, etc. Here's a tutorial on the Excel color palette: http://www.exceluser.com/explore/anycolor.htm - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Mike Rogers" <Mike060349@NoxSpamxAOLDOTcom wrote in message ...
