Default Excel 2003 SP3 - can't find the .cub files

I am creating a pivot table that collects data from two tables from a local
database. I am choosing the 'create an olap cube from this query' option the
PivotTable and PivotChart wizard and selecting Desktop to save the .cub
files. At OLAP Cube Wizard Step 3, I am selecting 'Save a cube file
containing all data for the cube' option.

I am able to create the table successfully, but the .cub files seem to
disappear from my hard drive. I am still able to view the data by double
clicking on a field. Can anyone tell me if this is a normal? If so, what
happens to .cub files?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi Soopy,

Are you trying to view it from inside Excel? if so change the Files of Type
to All.

Default Excel 2003 SP3 - can't find the .cub files

Thank you Shane! I am trying to locate the .cub files but can't find them on
my local hard drive. Also, I have emailed myself the excel file with pivot
tables and opened it from three different computers and was able to view
the data without having to open any .cub files.

Thanks again for your prompt reply. :)
