Default File name changed when opened

Hi,
I have a problem with Excel. The file name changed by having number "1"
added to original file name every time I open an Excel file. If I re-open the
same file again without closing the file that has number "1", the file name
changed by having number "2" added. Anyone know how to fix this please?

Have run the "Detect & repair" under Help menu in Excel. Problem solved.
