Default I can not stop the cursor from selecting cells

Are you using the mouse to move around in the worksheet?

Maybe your mouse buttons are stuck.

Try gently banging on the mouse buttons--including the wheel mouse if you have
one.

For some reason, when I go to excel, the cursor continues to select the cells
and I am not able to escape this function. It just follows my cursor and I
am unable to do anything.
