How to create a specific phone number format
Hey everyone,
In a column that will contain phone numbers, how do you create the following format for the numbers: ###.###.#### I've tried doing this in the Custom option of the Format Cells box, but it doesn't work. I know I can type something like (###) ###-#### and that will work fine. But that isn't the format I want. I need the periods. This is a new worksheet - no phone numbers have been entered yet. Excel 2003 Thanks everyone! |
