Default Stop prompting for save the changes in Excel

Just got Office 2007 and Excel (& Word) seems to constantly prompt to Save
the Changes on closing. I understand there may be calculations happening upon
opening but can anyone help me stop this happen. Read another answer that had
the following advice but I don't know where to use it. Many thanks anyone.

"Set Application.DisplayAlerts to False, to not show the save changes
dialog box. However, that will stop Excel from prompting it, but still
give the user the ability to save it. "
