Default reformating data- how to delete alternate blank rows quickly

I need a quick way to delete alternate rows or blanks to reformat a mass of
data which originates as a double spaced .txt file and will end up as .mdb
file.

Don't know if there's a better way, but I use autofilters. Select all blank
rows a delete them

If they are truly empty, select the lot, press F5, select special and then
Blanks, Click OK
Then do editdelete and when prompted select entire row

Before doing anything make a backup copy of your file

Thanks. I had found a way using Advanced Filter, but will remember your
