how can I shade alternate rows in Excel 2007?
I know two ways to do a simple shade-every-other-row format in Excel 2003
(either use the preset "List 1" under AutoFormat, or select each row individually that you want to shade). Does it work the same way in Excel 2007? If not, how do you do it? Thanks! |

See www.cpearson.com/Excel/Banding.htm for a technique using Conditional
Formatting that won't get screwed up if you sort rows or insert/delete rows. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel, 10 Years Pearson Software Consulting www.cpearson.com (email on the web site) "lingo123" wrote in message ... In addition to the techniques the others have offered there is the new Excel
2007 "Format as Table" command on the Home tab. If you pick one of the banded styles Excel will automatically handle keeping the table properly banded when to add data or insert and delete rows. -- Jim "lingo123" wrote in message ...
