Macro Programming Question
I really don't know too much about excel programming, so this may be
a dumb question. I have an add-in that I purchased that works in Word and Excel. It basically has a row of small images and inserts a tickmark into the document or spreadsheet based on which one you select. I would like to customize those images. I have found the folder containing the images, and I found that if I replace the images in that folder, it will use the new image I have substuted for the old image. The problem is, the images listed in the toolbar (Excel 2007: add-in tab), show the old image. I would like to change the image there also so I can tell which image I am going to insert. I like the easy fix of just replacing the images in the image folder, but I have a feeling I will have to start editing macro or VB script to change the buttons in the add-in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Macro Programming Question
Without seeing the code it is very difficult to see how it is being done.
Can you see the code? You say that it uses the new image, but the images in the toolbar are the old image. These statements seem to be at odds with one another. Can you clarify? -- --- HTH Bob __________________________________________ UK Cambridge XL Users Conference 29-30 Nov http://www.exceluserconference.com/UKEUC.html (there's no email, no snail mail, but somewhere should be gmail in my addy) "mtbcpa" wrote in message ... The macro basically consists of a toolbar with a bunch of buttons. Pressing one of the buttons puts a small picture into the spreadsheet. It is so we can add our own tickmarks, etc. into worksheets. So, I want to customize those little tickmarks to what we use in our firm. I have found how to customize the image files and overwrite the image file the macro uses, and it works, in other words, when you press a button, the newly replaced image is the one pasted into the worksheet. The problem is, the image on the button on the toolbar is not changed when I overwrite the image file. If it helps, here is a linkd to what I am using: http://www.aicpa.org/pubs/jofa/jan2001/lehman.htm Thanks again for your consideration. |
