Default formula

I am having a problem trying to add +M1+L2 and then trying to copy that
formula down. It will not calculate until I double click and hit enter. What
am I doing wrong?

Perhaps the setting at Tools Options CalculationTab Calculation is set
to Manual.

Thanks, not sure where the tools setting is? On excel? I don't see it on the
bar

Yes, in Excel.........it's on the Worksheet Menu Bar....at the top of the
screen, just below the Title Bar
