How do I get this infomation to show me just the total of each file # on one
signle row as listed below?

Origiinal data:
CO CODE FILE# DEPT AMOUNT WE DATE
ZYY 3057 9750S0 1304.42 10/31/2007
ZYY 3057 9750S0 476 11/15/2007
ZYY 1516 9070S0 903.52 10/31/2007
ZYY 1516 9070S0 903.52 11/15/2007
ZYY 1943 9504P0 120.51 10/31/2007
ZYY 1943 9504P0 1750 10/31/2007
ZYY 1943 9504P0 1750 11/15/2007

1) Highlight the range of cells containing your data
2) Go to the Data Tab
3) Click on Subtotal
4) For your case, "At each change in:" Enter: File#, and use the Sum
function.

This gives me subtotoals but not in the format that I am looking for. I
don't want totals to be underneath - I need the result to be as follows:
CO CODE FILE# DEPT AMOUNT
ZYY 3057 9750S0 1793.42
ZYY 1516 9700S0 1807.04
