Default cannot insert rows -error message "cannot shift object off sheet"

Attempts to insert rows or columns result in an error message "cannot shift
object off sheet". How can this be corrected? Office 2007 - Excel

In Excel 03 this usually fixes the issue...

Somewhere off in the "blank" regions of your spreadsheet one of the
cells has data.

Just highlight all of the blank columns in the spreadsheet and then go
to Edit-delete.

Do the same for the rows.
