Formats-Paste special
I have tried unsuccessfully to format a date in a column by copying the
actual date then using paste special to format in Month-YY format. When I use that column in a pivot table the formatting reverts back to the date even after paste special. How can I make the formatting stay?? HELP |

Formats-Paste special
In the pivot table options, you might check the box to Preserve Formatting
and uncheck the box to Auto Format Table. Also, when you apply formatting to a pivot table, you have to apply it to the entire column by hovering over the header (not the column letter, but the header in your pivot table). You cannot select the actual values, as they are dynamic, not static. Hope that helps. -KC -- Please remember to indicate when the post is answered so others can benefit from it later.
