Default CountIf does not work with an Absolute references

Where is my error?

A B C Bonus to pay
Salesperson Invoice Target
Buchanan 15,000 14,000
=COUNTIF(B2:B7,"C2")*150.00
Buchanan 9,000
Suyama 8,000
Suyama 20,000
Buchanan 5,000
Dodsworth 22,500

Try
=COUNTIF(B2:B7,"" & C2) * 150
