Hello,

When using the AutoFilter function, I would like one of the columns to
filter based on the selection of a cell not in the filters range. Such as
cells A5:Z50 are the filter range. Cell A1 has a validation criteria
containing the data in cells A5:A50 , and based on the selection in cell A1,
I would like the filter range to filter the data.

Thank you,

Why not just use the filter pull-down on A5 to do this?

You might like to look at Advanced Filter in Excel Help, or (better)
on Debra Dalgleish's site he

Hope this helps.
