Default Delete cell shifts cells up - How to avaoid happening

I intended to delete a row. But, by mistake, I right click on the cell
(instead of row) and click delete. Pop up window openswith options Shifts
cells Left, Shift cells up, Shift, Entire row, Entire column. Default radio
button is Shift cells up. When I accidently click oK button, all the cells
below shifts up. Later I realised that my entire data become useless. The
cell I deleted was from tel number column. Data was Tel number, Name,
Company. Can anyone please advise how to disable delete cell command? Thanks
in advance.
