Excel is dividing my entries...why??
OK, I'm not an expert @ Excel, but I've used it enough to know that what is
happening is not right. Everytime I try to enter a number, Excel is dividing the number by 10,000 and displaying it as such. For example, if I enter "300" it returns "0.03" instead. There is no formula in the cell and the format of the cell doesn't make any difference. It's probably something simple and stupid, but I've been through all of the drop-down menus and settings and I can't find anything wrong! Help please!! John |

Click TOOLS on the menu and select OPTIONS. In the OPTIONS dialog box, click
the EDIT tab and remove the check mark from the FIXED DECIMAL PLACES checkbox and you'll be good to go. -- Kevin Backmann "JMc" wrote: OK, I'm not an expert @ Excel, but I've used it enough to know that what is happening is not right.
