Default Excel Charts

I am working with Excel 2003. I am having difficulty bar charting two y
axis. One y axis is in high dollar volume, the second Y axis is the number of
opportunities. The chart should depict each month for both $s and
#opportunities for several departments.

For example, in the month of January the Art department is bringing in $1.2M
with 8 opportunities, Engineering is $80M with 15 opportunities,
Manufacturing is $120M for 5 opportunities, etc., and so on for February,
March, etc. There are 5 departments, charting first six months of the year.

I can see what Excel is trying to display it on the dollar scale, but I am
not able to have a secondary axis on the right side with a range of 0-20 for
the number of opportunities. Selecting a single set of data (data from on
bar) on the chart and then selecting the Format menu to select a secondary
axis does not work as intended.

I would appreciate any help,
robert

... does not work as intended.

How does it work? Does it overlap the primary and secondary series? Try this
technique to fix it:
