Default how do i work on both workbook when using split windows

i would like to be able to work in both workbooks while using the split
windows funtion

Not sure which version you are using but in 2007, you need to select the view
tab and click arrange all and try vertical.

It is on the window menu bar in previous versions, if I recall properly.

You can't have two workbooks in view using split.

What you want is WindowNew Window

WindowArrangeVertical or whatever.

Now each workbook can be in its own window.
