Protect List Validation Cells
I have a list validation cell. You can choose from the list or just type into
the cell. I want to prevent anyone from typing in these cells. Everyone says you should not be able to do this when the error check box is enabled, but my sheet is allowing this. Why? How do I fix this? |

1st check the error checkbox and in the same dialog :
2nd in the dropdown list you'll find 3 options: STOP, warning and information. Select STOP and click ok. -- Can''''t hear the Rain ? Then listen to it. "Kenny" wrote: I have a list validation cell. Thanks for responding. I checked all this and it is right. Now the list is
refering to a named range in another sheet, can this cause the stop not to work?
