Default Unhide column based on subtotal level open.

I have a sreasheet with five levels of subtotals and would like to automate
the hide or unhide column when I click on a specific level of subtotal.

Example: If I click on the expand my subtotals to the 2nd level, I would
like for column E to unhide. If I collapse my subtotals back to level one,
then I would like for column E to hide. I hope someone out there can help.
