Paste Special in Excel 2000
Can anyone describe, in simple terms, what the "Operation" feature under
"Paste Special" is for (in Excel 2000)? I have tried using the "Add", "Subtract", etc. operators but seem to get nonsensical results. I cannot figure out what the purpose of this feature is, but would love to know. Many thanks for any help. -- LPS |

Paste Special in Excel 2000
Enter 10 in a cell.
Copy that cell. Select a cell or range of cells and Paste SpecialAddOKEsc to add 10 to each cell in the range. Same for divide, subtract, multiply. Note: these functions operate only on numeric data.
