Most likely because of conditional formatting? Select the cell, click on
Format, then Conditional Formatting, and you should get your answer -- Hth Kassie Kasselman Change xxx to hotmail "erinping" wrote: Why is qw in a cell and cannot be removed? |

Conditional formatting can not place values into a cell. It only changes the
format of the cell (Colour, Font, Borders, ...) I would doubt if it is a conditional formatting issue. That being said... When you are in the cell what is in the formula bar? Is the worksheet protected? Have you tried deleting the column or the row that the value is in? When you say removed are you trying to delete the cell or just clear it's contents? -- HTH... There is nothing in the formula bar. I have no idea if it's protected or
not. I deleted the column and it came back! I'd rather not try to delete the row, it would require too much work! (but I can) I cleared contents, but it's still there. HOWEVER, it's not showing up when I print. "Jim Thomlinson" wrote: Conditional formatting can not place values into a cell. It only changes the format of the cell (Colour, Font, Borders, ...) Clearly, "qw appears somewhere in the sheet! I would guess to the right of
your print range, there is a cell, possibly right aligned, with qw, followed by several space characters. You would then notice that the vertical borders of the adjacent cells do not show. It could also be to the left of course, having qw preceded by spaces, or possibly indented. Again, you would notice that the vertical borders to the left will then not show. Why not press <Ctrl<F, type in qw, and click on find? -- Hth Kassie Kasselman Change xxx to hotmail "erinping" wrote: There is nothing in the formula bar. I have no idea if it's protected or not. Perhaps it's a graphic image - can you click around/on it and get
boxes to denote the corners? If so, just press the delete key. Hope this helps. Pete On Aug 28, 9:48 pm, erinping wrote: There is nothing in the formula bar. I have no idea if it's protected or not.
