Default how to change xlk entension to xls

Dear All

Appreicate if someone can advise me what should I do to remove & restore
back to xls entension of keep having this xlk entension (Back up) everytime
when I start saving on my work file

Default how to change xlk entension to xls

Creating the .xlk backup files should not be interfering with updating/saving
the .xls file.

Each workbook can be set to create a backup when you save the .xls file.

File|Saveas|Tools|General Options|Uncheck "Always create backup"
(xl2003 wording)
