Referenced cell shows ='EE-4201-Mp-11'!D3, not the value
Sometimes when I want to reference the value in a cell from another worksheet
I get this in the cell ='EE-4201-Mp-11'!D3. It is showing the worksheet and the cell and not the value in that cell. What is causing this. It does not do it all the time. The format for the cell makes no difference. I am sure this must be a simple toggle that needs to be set. |

Sounds like the cell is probably formatted as TEXT. Even though you may have
changed the format to some other type (like NUMBER or GENERAL) the new format doesn't apply until you edit the cell.
