I _think_ that someone else reported the same problem and it was caused by an
addin. But I don't remember the name of that addin. Some links that may help with your detective work: Chip Pearson has some notes on how to diagnose startup errors: http://www.cpearson.com/excel/StartupErrors.htm And Jan Karel Pieterse has more notes: http://www.jkp-ads.com/Articles/StartupProblems.asp ===== IIRC, it had something to do with a mainframe/AS400/emulation addin. If you find the culprit, you can search google for toggling a setting that changes this. (This is from a fading memory. Take it with a grain of salt.) Joe wrote: Hi there. Sometimes the formula in the cell dissapears eg =890/1000 to just showing 0.89 I want to keep the formula in the cell. So I know where the value comes from if I need to refer to it in the future. Thanks, jose -- Dave Peterson |
