Hi there. Sometimes the formula in the cell dissapears eg
=890/1000 to just showing 0.89 I want to keep the formula in the cell. So I know where the value comes from if I need to refer to it in the future. Thanks, jose |

the times this happens most often is when you have copied and pasted values
and when you are in edit mode and press F9 do you have macros running which either paste values or calculate as a portion "Joe" wrote: Hi there. I _think_ that someone else reported the same problem and it was caused by an
addin. But I don't remember the name of that addin. Some links that may help with your detective work: Chip Pearson has some notes on how to diagnose startup errors: http://www.cpearson.com/excel/StartupErrors.htm And Jan Karel Pieterse has more notes: http://www.jkp-ads.com/Articles/StartupProblems.asp ===== IIRC, it had something to do with a mainframe/AS400/emulation addin. If you find the culprit, you can search google for toggling a setting that changes this. (This is from a fading memory. Take it with a grain of salt.) Joe wrote: Hi there.
