Default In excel what does the symbol ^ represent

Hi,

To raise a number to a power, use the "^" operator or the POWER function.

Example

A B
1. Formula Description (Result)
2. =POWER(5,2) Calculates five squared (25)
3. =5^3 Calculates five cubed (125)
