Default Excel 2007 recording macro

I'm not to thrilled by the new look of excel 2K7 but I'll get used to it..

Anyway, I'm trying to record a macro and can't find the record new macro
button.

Help tells me to turn on the Developer Tab, which I have done. Then Help
shows the macro icons and has "Code" on the bottom of the tab. Mine say
"XML".

How do I get to the "Code" group in Developer?

DG
