Default AppName: excel.exe AppVer: 10.0.6832.0 ModName: excel.exe ModVer: 10.0.6832.0 Offset: 0006e3fc

I am modifying an Excel file that I recieved from my Client. I was
able to edit the file without problems until recently. Now when I
open the file, make even the slightest change, save as a new file,
close out of the file, and then try to open the file again, I get the
following error message:
AppName: excel.exe
AppVer: 10.0.6832.0
ModName: excel.exe
ModVer: 10.0.6832.0
Offset: 0006e3fc
The file makes Excel crash and then it recovers the file but all the
formating is gone.
My client is using Excel 2003
I have Excel 2002 SP3.
Is there anything I can do to eliminate whatever is causing Excel to
crash so that I can modify the file as it is?
