Is it possible to create an Excel chart with primary and secondary y
axes with different ranges and have one series be plotted against the left y axis as column and have two lines plotted against the right y axis? When I try to do this, one of the series that I want plotted as a line using the right y axis instead plots as a column using the left axis and is invisible, since the values are several orders of magnitude less than the range of the left y axis (1000s vs. a range of 1 to 5 for the right axis). Thanks. |

Plot all your data as a column chart. Select one series you want to show as
a line, and using Chart menu Chart Type, change it to a Line. Select the other and repeat (if you're not using 2007 you can use the F4 function key as a shortcut for Repeat Last Action). Select one series you want on the secondary Y axis, go to Format menu Selected Series, and on the Axis tab, choose Secondary. Select the other and repeat (F4 if before 2007). If you cannot see a series to select it, use the dropdown object selector on the Chart toolbar, or select a series you can see and use the up and down arrow keys to cycle through other chart elements until the series you want is selected and its name shows in the Name box above cell A1. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ wrote in message ups.com...
