Default Sequential numbering

i use a simple formula to add sequential numbering in a worksheet such as
=A1+1 and i copy the formula for all cells as needed. The problem is when i
add or delete rows i have to copy and paste the formula. Is there a way to
have a formula continue the sequential numbering without this?

This would work if every cell was a number but i need the numbering to start
in different cells and skip other cells? Any more information please?
