Default Yikes! Merged cells making life miserable.

I have a spreadsheet created in Focus that merges cells each time a banner
name changes so the new heading displays nicely (about ready to dispense with
nicely!). I need to format several non-contiguous columns to a width of 5,
wrap text, and then do a row autofit. I have a macro set up for all this to
save the user some trouble, but instead of the specific columns getting sized
to 5, all of the columns get sized. I'm sure it's because of the merged
cells, but a row and column autofit work which I thought wouldn't happen
(used Greg Wilson's code to get around that problem once). Any ideas how to
get the column widths to 5 on just those specific columns? Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
