Thanks guys that worked exactly how I needed it.

Using B17 which will return a letter, say G so that this formula (or actually a corrected version of it!) =SUM("B17"&2:"B17"&2000) would give =SUM(G2:G2000) Could anyone suggest how this can be done, Thanks, Barbara |
