Default Divison as a formula

I need to know how to enter the follow
B C D E
-Amount Paid- Customer 1 Customer 2 Customer 3

Customer 1 Pays 1/3 of the amount as does Customer 2 & 3

How do I enter 1/3 of B as a formula? C & D?

In C1 enter =1/3*$B1

Drag across to E1 then all three down as far as you have amounts in column B

Can I assume you wrote 1/3*$B1 instead of $B1/3 for readability purposes?
