Default Huge Empty Spreadsheet

Excel 2002

I have a rogue cell which if copied into any new or blank spreadsheet makes
it huge in size - once the cell is in a spreadsheet deleting it, changing it
or formatting it doesn't help. Anyone want to solve this puzzle?? I can't
find any reference to a known bug in Excel.

Email me at and I'll send you a file with the cell in
it....

Send it to me.

Change the DOT and AT to appropriate punctuation to get my email address.

OP had send me a copy of the file as a follow-up to a response I had made in
an earlier thread on this same topic. I hadn't had a chance to look at it
until now. You're spot on - it contains 17571 picture objects, most of them
linked to one cell. When the OP copies the cell and pastes (i.e., not Paste
Special), all the wonderful pictures are pasted along with the cell.

Thanks - that did it - they looked like three little round circles on the
left of the sheet - no idea what they were or how they got there!!
