=SUM('D:\IDP 2007 Updated\[Croatia IDP''s for 2007_5-21-07.xls]Month by
Month'!$B$6) Any advise on how to copy this formula to the next worksheet and changing B6 to B7 as i know if you do this in the same worksheet and dragging it down it can work, but copying the formula to another worksheet does not? e.g. the above is for Croatia which is on B6 but then Belgium will be on B7. Background: I am doing a sum formula which is linked to other workbooks which has countries on a seperate row. In the main spreadsheet where I am doing the calculations there are many sheets, one for each country. The sum formula then looks up to other worksheets which are for each country and brings back a number for different months. I need the below fomaula to change the B6 reference to B7 automatically without having to do this manually in each sheet as each country is on a different row in the lookup spreadsheet? Thanks, Afsha |

You will need (I believe) a "lookup" which relates country to row.
