I am trying to replicate a document that has (R) but every time I type it in
I get ®. Is there a way to stop Excel converting (R) to ®? |

Hi,
Tools|Auto correct and delete the auto correct option for (R) However, I think this is a global office setting and not limited to Excel so this may be a problem in (say) Word. You can selectively stop it from making the change with Undo. Unfortunately, at least in Excel 2003, if the (R) is the last thing in the cell, you don't get the chance -- you have to do the Undo before you've pressed Enter. -- Earl Kiosterud www.smokeylake.com Note: Top-posting has been the norm here.
