Default What does the "^" in Excel formulas do?

It is 'to the Power of'

2^2 = 4

3^2 = 9

3^3 = 27

etc.

Please ask your question in the body of the text, not just in the subject
line. Blank messages will often be rejected by newsreading software or
ignored by contributors to the group.

The ^ symbol raises a number to a power.
=2^3 is =2*2*2 =8
=A1^B1 is equiivalent to =POWER(A1,B1)
