Default How do I create spreadsheet that automatically updates numbers/va.

I'm trying to create a spreadsheet that will automatically update the number
of merits a student has so that I acn monitor it sucessfuly by a variety of
different methods. This is for the whole school so I do need to get a system
that is easy to update and also easy to enter data. Can You help? I am
using Execel 2002 and am quite a novice so any advice will help!
