Default Saving data ranges for Vlookups

I am using Vlookups that reference values on another tab. If the referenced
values are deleted the data ranges are lost. If new data is pasted into the
referenced tab the vlookups still do not work. I tried naming the array but
it too lost the referenced cells once deleted. Please help.
