Default Search and replace issue

Select the range to fix
edit|replace
what: (leave blank)
with: .
replace all

Excel will only modify cells in the used range, though.

Hi,

If I understand you correctly.
Place "." in a cell and copy it
Then select the area of interest
Then tap F5
Select special
Check Blanks
OK
Right click on one of the selected cells and select Paste
Then tap the up arrow
