Default Yes/no check box field in a spreadsheet?

Isn't it possible to have a field that contains a box to check for "yes" or
leave blank for "no?"

hi,
not sure what you mean by "field" but for the most part....no. you can drop
a check box from the tool tox onto the sheet. checked means true(yes),
uncheck means false(no) but the checkbox "floats" on top of the sheet. it is
not asigned to cell.
Perhaps you can explain your situation in more detail.

I think you answered the question. Someone else asked me this, and I know
Access accomodates this, but was unsure of whether or not Excel did so.
