WHEN THE FORMULA IS DRAGGED FROM C1 TO DOWN SAME FORMULA IN COPIED HOWEVER
WHEN THE C1 FORMULA IS DRAGGED ONTO THE RIGHT THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN, WHY AND
HOW?

Default Formula on the right

I'm not sure I fully understand but have a look at the formula below:-

=A$1+A$2

The $ sign makes it stays the same when dragged down but if it is dragged
right then the column letter changes.
