Default schedules and durations

i need to create a schedule of multiple tasks and calculate the total
duration for the entire scheudule, the duration of each task in the schedule,
and a total of actual days worked in the schedule. some tasks may fall on the
same days as others. i need to show start and end dates for each task as well
as the number of workdays between the start and end dates for each task.
