Lewis,
It does seem to work the same way in Word 2003. You may have a different setting for "Windows in taskbar" between the two programs (Tools - Options - View). Also, Word, when using the Window - Arrange command, doesn't give any choices (vertical, horizontal, etc.) as does Excel. It just arranges the windows horizontally. -- Earl Kiosterud www.smokeylake.com Note: Some folks prefer bottom-posting. I still don't understand why this works differently in Word, but maybe it is the 2003 version? Thanks much Lewis "Dave Peterson" wrote in message ... I don't own multiple monitors, but I've read posts that say you can open one instance of excel and resize the application to cover both monitors. The open the two files and arrange/drag the second window to the second monitor. You can also use window|new window and arrange the windows of the active workbook. Lewis SHanks wrote: I have Excel 2000, and Word 2003. I also have two monitors to view multiple files. In Word I can view multiple documents at the same time, such as one document on one monitor and another on the other. In Excel, however, I am unable to view two documents (worksheets) in the same way as above. Is this because it is the 2000 version or is there a view feature I can select for this? Thanks Lewis -- Dave Peterson |
