I have a couple of worksheets with buttons which, when pressed, will run
macros. Those buttons are grouped with imported figures and objects. When
scrolling the worksheet, it (the sheet) starts to flash incessantly. The
only way of getting it to stop flashing is to change the size of the window.
I don't know what's up here or how to fix this. No macros are running, I'm
just scrolling the worksheet. This is infuriating to say the least. Any
clues to fix this would be sincerely appreciated.

A few questions to get things started:
What version of Excel (knowing the version of Windows may help also)?
What are the settings on these objects with regards to resizing/moving with
cells?
Define incessantly? Do you really mean it never stops flashing or that it
just goes on for a long time and finally settles down sometime after you
finish scrolling?

My initial guess is that the graphics engine is having to redraw these
objects over and over during the scroll process. If you want them to remain
in view, you might move them to the top of your worksheet and freeze the
window at a row below them. Perhaps make row 1 tall enough to contain them
and freeze the window just the one row.

Thank you for your suggestions. I have Excel 2003 and am running Windows XP
Pro sp2. Actually the problem appears to have self-resolved after closing
and reopening Excel. It was really weird. If it happens again, I'll repost
the query.
Definiition of incessantly: unceasingly, constantly, continuously,
never-ending, perpetually; eternally, everlasting; relentlessly,
unrelentingly, unremitting. :)

I love it when someone uses the language accurately and succinctly!

Since nothing in Excel should be incessant other than accurate, predictable
results, that behavior is definitely unacceptable. Glad you've tamed the
beast for the moment. Sounds almost like a stuck key at this point.
