I am trying to use the Absolute Reference command (i.e., =$A$1); I have
previsously done this by hitting the F4 key, but now in Office 2007, it
appears to be another undo command or a delete command.... what happened to
that functionality?

Does F4 not work? I don't have Excel 2007 on my home computer, but as
I recall every keyboard shortcut that I tried from earlier Excels
worked in 2007, even if I wasn't documented.

I didn't try this particular one, because IMHO it's easier just to
type the $ signs where I want them. But YMMV.
