Default Copy/paste from Win SQL gives strange characters

I often run SQLs using Win SQL, and then copy the result into Excel, by
Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V.
Recently this have resulted in "strange" characters as limiters between each
field. A small rectangle is inserted between the fields.
I wonder if I may have changed any settings which has made this start
happening.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
