Default hotspot

I'm trying to follow instructions on how to run a macro is excel.

I do not understand how to create a hotspot.

Please can someone break it down in to even more simpler terms please?

Thanks

Default hotspot

I just create a Drawing Object, such as a circle, or rectangle, and the
firht=click on it and select "Assign Macro", and then follow the menu to
assign my macro to the figure. From then on, whenever the cursor passes over
the figure, the "hand" appears, and if clicked on, will trigger the macro.
